Autumn, 1996. A fog-bound village deep in the Hyrcanian forest of northern Iran.

You are a young land surveyor sent to settle an inheritance dispute over a single parcel of land. The surveyor before you vanished nineteen days ago. All he left behind is his field book, and the last entry ends mid-thought:

"There is a white lamp in the forest at night."

By day, the parcel measures perfectly. By night, your survey refuses to close. Seven metres of error, pointing at one corner of the old deed.

HOW IT PLAYS

- Look through a real surveying instrument: find lamps in the fog, centre the crosshair, zero the angle, measure the distance.

- Read the documents: the registry order, a 1969 deed (with translation) and the missing surveyor's field book.

- Compute your traverse on drafting film and lay the old deed over it.

- Piece together what you actually measured tonight.

A horror game where the scariest moment is a number.

Night One is free and takes about 15–20 minutes. Plays in your browser. Mouse, touch or keyboard. Headphones recommended.

Content: slow-burn horror, tension, sudden sounds. No gore.
